Help with the input lag?
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to deal with this issue?

I really want to like this game. The input lag make it unplayable...

It's a shame I'm not good at this kind of problem, but I hope you can fix it soon and enjoy the game.
Yeah - delete and forget this garbage. Half the time combos don't work and dodges aren't exact. The game is based on dodges and that mechanic is lagged. Just move on.
Bro I got this Performance Overlay thing that comes with Nvidia GeForce Experience just now. Monitored values include Average PC Latency, so you can run around the game with different settings to see how your latency changes. Try it out.

Does it show controller input and response time, if so sign me up?
I have tried different resolutions, different settings, and the controller response time is off.
i think wired controller shouldnt have much input lag.

most input lag are from human delay? (up to 270ms as someone mentioned before? only 90ms are from machine/software?)

i think most player are playing this like mmo/diablo (clickclickclick drinkdrinkdrink) and expect the game to cancel animation immediately

this is more like a music rhythm / dance / drumbeat game, where u have to hit around the keynote for "ok" "acceptable" or "perfect" timing

try not to spam light attacks. use more resolute counter+skyfall strike and invisible charged smash for damage output, and u will no longer have "input lag" in ur mind anymore
i play like most mmo players before i learned how this game works

theres like 60 out of 80ish hours of total playing time on my first save file

i can accomplish same amount progress in 1/5 of the time after i learned resolute counter and boss' moveset

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL_rAgn_d1cALeOMOwAkwXTRlL0-HMdmYF

i record them down to study boss' moveset so i can run faster in NG+ maybe
im still new to action game. but i think i m getting better and better . u can clearly see me using more and more resolute counter as game progress

im using ps4 controller ... i dont notice any lag... but i dont have anything else to compare to
maybe i should buy a nintendo one or xbox just for comparison. i like their design where the joystick is above d pad
I used an Xbox controller wired, and it was even worse. But, I did not have v-synch enabled, and when I enabled it there is a major reduction in input lag.

I am going to get to it, maybe making sure v-synch is enabled is the thing.

I did use the nvidia overlay, there were no bottlenecks or heat issues. gpu was around 82% and cpu was sub 30% the temps seemed high though @79 degrees.

If I had not had other people helping me, I would have given up, so thank you all for the help and patience.:happy_seagull:

After a bit of reading, I think it's a No; the Peripheral Latency component is not monitored with this simple Overlay.

They have this other tool called "NVIDIA Reflex Latency Analyzer" which DOES tell you the whole story - complete End to End Latency - but it appears you need some special G-sync 360Hz esports monitor to access it.

Damn.

i use msi after burner to tune my gpu , lowered the voltage to 0.9 for my temperature to stay below 75c most of the time( at 45% fan speed)
u can watch my video recording on chapter 3 part2, im practicing resolute counter on that Cyan Loong . it was funny that i landed like 90% of the time XD

i dont know how to edit them... i just live stream it... saves me time on learning video editing
i just throw the timeline in the description to quickly jump between different boss fight
