apramana bat not spawning

how many times do I have to tell you? you need zhu bajie with you for it to spawn. if you progress too far in the story, it can't spawn. sorry NO REFUNDS

You'll need the pig with you to spawn the bat. If you've progressed beyond a certain point, the pig will no longer be available, and you won't be able to spawn the bat, you'll have to start a New Game Plus (NG+) to face the boss.

Not the item, it's the Bat journal entry. That is missable.

Same. I think its a bug, should really able to fight him if you accidentally stepped too far in one direction.

How do you do it?

You need to remember there's a lot of stuff that you can miss and be locked out of for the rest of the game so if you miss something it'l have to wait till NG+ like the Wandering Wrath in chapter one if you ring the 3 bells before you kill him you'l never be able to go back and fight that boss again till next playthrough.
I'm not sure if it's a bug or not but there's a chance that it's just a optional thing that can be missed and locked out of.
