Why can't I download the ost?

I bought the digital deluxe edition, which included the ost. For basically every other game I had done that for (ost is the biggest reason I get a deluxe edition) the music is included in the game files or as an ost on steam. For this one it just made it possible to play it in the game... which basically means I have to run this massive game in the background just to listen to the music.

On other notes, the game is a lot of fun... I just want to listen to the music on my own time too.

Yeah, I have this on Epic and I did the same thing for the same reason. Most of the time if a game I buy has the soundtrack available I pick it up. That's why I upgraded after a couple days.

I may try to just record them with say OBS, then run that file through Zamzar to make it an MP3 or wav file. Not 100% it will work, but I think it will.
