any combos in this game?
I'm trying to mix left and right, nothing works besides spamming left.

Variable combos are the key to staying aggressive and keeping on enemies... As they give you invincibility frames to keep the combos coming and stay on top of the enemy.

Smash stance has the longest "counter range"
Then thrust stance
then pillar stance..

You should check out the skilltrees, they´ll open new combos, where you even get invincible if you use them in the right moment or atleast can´t be knockbacked but get damage etc...

But if you just started the game, you´ll have to live with light attack into hard attack with focus for a short time.

I have the one where I stand on a pole, butI can't mix it with anything, it's stun locking myself

Light into hard, couldn't even do that after unlocking the standing on the pole skill, after unlocking it, this combo became locked or something idk

Pillar stance is the worst stance for combos...

Yeah you traded the old heavy for the pillar by unlocking it.

If you want it back, just take your points back or swap into one of the other stances using keys.

The pillarstance is a more safer playstyle than others, but you´re pretty much locked onto it with a finisher later.
The first stance is more fluent in kind of combo-gameplay, but your heavy-attacks have to be in time to avoid getting damage while attacking.

Again, just read the skilltrees at best to the end, they you´ll know what awaits you. Pillarstance has it pros and will get better in the later game, but the gameplay isn´t really fluent especially in the early.

EDIT: Other combos come with casts and transformations, where everyone has its own (somewhat basic) skillset.

not combo in the sense of a fighting game. Combo comes in from mixing abilities, transformations, items etc etc.

OH, that's what they meant..... I thought you could mix mouse buttons to vary your combos. OK now it makes sense.

I'm at the bear boss in Chapter one. I'm lvl 21 and have been using the Smash stance only...switched over to thrust stance.

I know you can switch stances in the middle of a light combo and use different heavy attacks..i just wish there were different light combos for each stance..i need to find a good YouTube video for combat. Any suggestions?

it seems like this game have many combo man but most of the times you'll spam left and then use one right, thats the truth of this game. Its not god of war, its not even ff 16 combat system

Not much. All the combos people are doing is all fluff with the exception of focus moves you're better off just playing regularly.
Maybe in an expansion or the next game they could allow to transform into different spirits more and faster. Because I think all the potential combos are all in the Spirits but you can only use it like once every five years lol

There is zero point to use smash stance cause 3orb heavy attack needs needs too much time to make a hit. So almost no point to change stances, its not like in tsushima you change stances for different enemies to be more effective, its just like 'i do beautiful tripleflip attack or i do fast thrust attack with the same result'.
For different combos better play god of war or atleast ff 16 probably

Oh no, I actually prefer that for a change. Truthfully, I'd rather have that because whenever I see a long list of combos to be remembered I instantly get demotivated to play lol.
