Chinese players do not have this feeling because it is integrated into the culture of Journey to the West. We can associate a scene, an object, or even a person with a mythological story that we have known since childhood.
sorry bro.
Only chapter 1 is a boss rush, and it's not even really a boss rush, more like kill 1 hard boss (blue baby) and steamroller over everything else.
So, because there was this once where you fought boss back to back now the whole game is a boss rush?
I spent almost an hour if not more exploring in chapter 3 as well without fighting a single boss, should I now say that the game has no boss fights?
Boss rush equals boss only gameplay, that's why you call it a boss rush, you rush from boss to boss. This game is objectively not a boss rush game.
Chapter 2 but especially Chap 3 is fackin masssssssssssssive with a ton of stuff to do, lots of regular enemies, wayyy too many secrets. The map is so big, its a bit overwhelming and nauseating, but I love every second of the exploration.
I do wish Wukong could somehow, build a map on a scroll manually as some sort of in-game mechanic the player can optionally perform.
Chap 3 being so big, its brutal with many missables.
Chap 3 is the reason why I racked up roughly 32 hours and I'm such high lv entering chap 4...
The completionist in me, the gorgeous environments etc.
Anyway, ignorant publications / youtube influencers with a lack of genre vocabulary are idiots for plastering "Boss Rush" game. Its absolutely not a boss-rush.
I hear you but I disagree.
You could say the exact same thing about Elden Ring, more than 100 bosses and you do the same thing, you fight some trash mobs, find some secrets and kill the bosses and depending on how good you are, the majority of your time will be fighting them.
This game has many secrets worth hunting down that you present you with entirely new areas.
Secret NPCs
And I don't think the areas a boring, this is of course subjective, but I really like the art in this game.
And the trash mobs variety is insane.
To call this game a boss rush is almost like saying GTA is a racing game.
Maybe because what people like or dislike, think is boring or not, get enjoyment or not is subjective?
You're not wrong to think it's boring but people who disagree are equally not wrong...
The world would definitely be a better place if people would respect more other people's options, you don't have to agree, just respect...
Think about ir...
