*looks at all the threads in both english cyrillic and manderine complaining about bugs, glitches and general performance issues, as well as a game breaking patch. some even kept it from launching day one, and one account of a pc having to hard reset after just running the game*
yeah, im pressing X to doubt here bud.
Souls players also have the worst opinions about this game because they seem to approach it like another souls game instead of Wukong.
Fight mechanics seem shallow on the surface but there are a lot of interesting synergies and variations to try as you unlock, find and upgrade gear.
Boss variety is really impressive. Every fight has been pretty unique so far and there are a lot of bosses.
It's not open-world but there is soon much side-content to find.
Cinematic cutscenes are amazing.
Soundtrack is epic. Chapter 2 is especially great with the headless monk playing bangers as you progress
Combat feels really good. I haven't felt cheesed by a boss yet or died to the camera like I did in ER
Respeccing anytime at shrines is a welcome QoL feature. You can change up your fighting style all the time based on the situation.
Like you'll find smash stance to be pretty amazing with resolute counterflow and then you meet yellow loong and he's a direct counter to that stance
Of course you have to like its genre otherwise you will not enjoy its difficulty level
My only real issue with it, is that there are some items that will be missed if you do not follow a walk-through or play NG+
But hey it's defenetly a really good game. One of the best Games this year for sure. It's a bit like an Chinese God of War.. Not as good as God of War Ragnarök but close to it. I would give the game an 89%
Definitely a GotY contender for me. Loved every moment of my time with it so much that I immediately started a NG+ to finish 100%. Only other games this year that hooked me this much was Dragon's Dogma 2 and Erdtree.
