Does Frame genaration really causes input lag ?
Is the extra fps worth it in your opinion ?

Never got problems.
No "frame Bugs" or input lag.
Between 70-100 FPS. (Last fight 120 FPS stable)

60 hours in. 1 run done.
Obviously no problems ...as you have 70-100 fps lmao

It gave me enough lag to mess up my dodge.
So yes.

AMD OEM recommends base FPS of 55+ FPS before implementing FSR 3+ FG for gamers and that’s targeting 1080p output (think PC handheld iGPUs and weak AMD desktop GPUs). At 1440p or higher AMD recommends even higher base FPS 60+ in order to properly’ utilise benefits of FSR FG…

NVIDIA OEM guidelines are similar but starts at all resolution targets with higher base FPS of minimum 60+ FPS…

All FG tech introduces ADDITIONAL latency on top of your existing end to end latency. Example is 30FPS base ≈ 33ms latency alone based on the frame rate (that’s excluding other system latencies). If you then toggle on FG to say achieve 60FPS you’re looking at additional ~60ms of latency added to 30ms so you actually have additional latency. I tested this using RTSS/AMD stats logging.

If you then toggle on VSYNC on top of all of this; you’re introducing even MORE latency in low double digits…

Literal nonquestion
literal nonargument

fake frames, ANY AMOUNT of fake frames cause lag. This is literally a PHYSICS issue, not a "computar gaem" issue.

Next.

I have tried enabling FG in my game and i have had CRAZY input delay, it was only my camera I think, but it was crazy delayed, I have moved my mouse and my camera literally moved like 200ms later lol.

I think is way worse if you use km, on controller barely noticeable

i get like 78-110 FPS min to max range depending on the area. Lowest i saw was 68 entire game at some places where you have too much cloud effects and all but again it only lasts for about a second most, goes back to the usual 80+ frames after the effect is over. So personally for me i did not notice the input lag playing the entire game with FG along with DLSS(i used the mod that lets you use FSR FG with DLSS) Though when i started the upscaling was bad i checked recently but it seems to have been fixed. Doesnt look much noticeable even with 67 Super res so i believe you can use at that now which would give more frames boost.

overall no i didnt find any problem playing the game with FG at all

ah yes i agree these games are better with controller imo cuz even dark souls feels sluggish with KBM
I only use KBM for anything that requires me to aim otherwise controller. More compact controls and saves my keyboard from being destroyed xD

Framegeneration uses Nvidia Reflex to minimize frame lag caused by the extra frame.
Some games don't use Reflex when Framegen is off and Wukong I believe is one of them..
I've been playing the entire game with FG on and It's fine to me... I don't see it causing me any issues.

Dont forget to try 21:9 mode if you want more frames as well for less input lag, there is a NICE FPS bump going from 16:9 to 21:9 in display settings.

Yes 100%, I played for two playthrough's without it, then turned it on as I struggled with NG++ endgame looking for an edge and it felt like my inputs took twice the time to register. Dodges had different timings, kept getting caught doing combos and seeing through enemies always late. If you start with it then maybe you won't notice it, but man was it massive for me. Would rather have steady 80fps with low input then 120fps with double latency @1440p.
Just my experience, Controller user.

Check your render latency. For some reason going from 3840x2160 to 3840x1600 (or even 1440p) increases my render latency by 10-15ms for whatever reason. Wukong is doing something weird.

I only play sports games on controller, I can't play these games with a controller because it's very uncomfortable for me, the game is perfect with KB+M as long as I don't have FG enabled.

I tried at the beginning without FG on also, had like 50-70FPS, turned it ON and didn´t feel any "extra" input lag.
I can feel when my system bus out and turns my monitor to 60Hz from 144Hz in desktop clicking on shortcuts, but this feels about same.
Anyways a good question for Digital Foundry or Hardware Unboxed;)
Playing no FG ON 80-120FPS.

It's physically impossible to no create extra input lag. It can be offset to some extent - high frame rates (why use framegen then) or with reflex (which basically drops pre-rendered frames to 0).
