So yes.
NVIDIA OEM guidelines are similar but starts at all resolution targets with higher base FPS of minimum 60+ FPS…
All FG tech introduces ADDITIONAL latency on top of your existing end to end latency. Example is 30FPS base ≈ 33ms latency alone based on the frame rate (that’s excluding other system latencies). If you then toggle on FG to say achieve 60FPS you’re looking at additional ~60ms of latency added to 30ms so you actually have additional latency. I tested this using RTSS/AMD stats logging.
If you then toggle on VSYNC on top of all of this; you’re introducing even MORE latency in low double digits…
Literal nonquestion
literal nonargument
fake frames, ANY AMOUNT of fake frames cause lag. This is literally a PHYSICS issue, not a "computar gaem" issue.
Next.
overall no i didnt find any problem playing the game with FG at all
I only use KBM for anything that requires me to aim otherwise controller. More compact controls and saves my keyboard from being destroyed xD
Some games don't use Reflex when Framegen is off and Wukong I believe is one of them..
I've been playing the entire game with FG on and It's fine to me... I don't see it causing me any issues.
Dont forget to try 21:9 mode if you want more frames as well for less input lag, there is a NICE FPS bump going from 16:9 to 21:9 in display settings.
Just my experience, Controller user.
Check your render latency. For some reason going from 3840x2160 to 3840x1600 (or even 1440p) increases my render latency by 10-15ms for whatever reason. Wukong is doing something weird.
I can feel when my system bus out and turns my monitor to 60Hz from 144Hz in desktop clicking on shortcuts, but this feels about same.
Anyways a good question for Digital Foundry or Hardware Unboxed;)
Playing no FG ON 80-120FPS.
It's physically impossible to no create extra input lag. It can be offset to some extent - high frame rates (why use framegen then) or with reflex (which basically drops pre-rendered frames to 0).
