Need help with erlang

Seriously, beat radahn with fire knight greatsword, nothing else, no ashes, no summons, nothing, and this guy is 3x harder at a minimum.

The attack that is seriously killing me is after his hp goes below 50% he does his crappy needle spam, followed by a laser that does mad damage. I can dodge that one OK, just wait half a second after needle spam and dodge.

The one I can't do is the second time he does needle spam. He just does it completely randomly, I can deal with, but he does a needle laser after, which you can't deflect. How tf do I dodge that? I've tried everything, running close, waiting 2 seconds, etc. It's like he times it to hit me, and I die.

No cloud walk, I using spellbinder. Can't get to even 50% without cloudwalk.

This guy sucks and is legit the worst.

The loong transformation is pretty good when he does that. Alternatively you can just use the thrust spam attack after using the fan on him for easy cheese.

Didn't this get fixed in last patch? The fan and thrust stun lock I mean.

The cheese doesn't work anymore. I'm basically at the same boss now without NG+, using Spellbinder but with mixed results. Thinking about switching back to immobo/cloud walk/clones/and some transform, see how that works out.

Erlang is great, the only problem I had with this guy is probably that he was able to dodge too many of my charged attacks and also his shielding with spear which massively reduces damage.

All attacks have their timings, you might not feel the timing yet, because <50% is a long way to go so you might not get the hang of it just yet, but after some more tries, you will understand it more and more.

Also, beating Radahn has nothing to do with this game, it's like comparing Forza Horizon and GTA, these are 2 totally different games. I personally have spent like 5 hours in total defeating Consort Radahn with Greatsword +25, Radahn armor set, no summon, no nothing and I have only spent like 2 hours beating Erlang.

You're right re. Radahn, I merked him in 30 mins. He's not the easiest, but his first form is sort of practice for the second.

Erlang has no practice forms. He just pulls out a new move from his arse and merks you. Also, the difficulty between Erlang and everyone else in the game is enormous.

That is why Erlang is optional, because 80% (if not more) of players wouldn't be able to beat him.

I don't really have any tips, it's all about learning the moves, bosses are puzzles which you need to solve by watching them and thinking about when to press the dodge (sometimes jump).

Tbh, I don't even know what move you are talking about, there are multiple moves matching your description.

If you are talking about when he floats and then spams sword projectiles I just used cloud step each time he did it.

Ok ill give you my advice cuz it just took me 5 hours to beat him with spell binder, this guy has 3 phase , first phase he always gonna throw at you the spear , most of the times , just get ready, not hard timing, phase 1 you gotta get use to his attacks so make sure you only use max 2 potion health for this phase,


in second phase , he starts with a giant axe , dodge the axe, then switch to pillar stance , to avoid the followup after the axe , will be extra dmg ( if you dont have pillar stance put only 1 point on it like i did ) so. In second phase he has alot of delayes and alot of moveset, in this phase you wanna use the counter attack (counter attack is parry while damaging him , you do it with light attacks and then combo heavy attack with it) this counter attack is very good cuz it break his shield fast. Try learning his movest and know when to do it. Ok now help with the timings in phase 2 for one shot attacks , whenever ur screen turn into grey , he jump into the air and use his third eye to one shot you , in order to dodge it , he does 2 flash dots from his third eye, you wait for the second one, then immidatelty dodge , when you get used to it, you have alot of time to attack him while he is doing it. Another strong attack that he do , its when he spin on you with the spear , with this lighting red thing , in order to dodge it , wait for this "red" explode , then you just dodge, btw , about his dogs , make sure you have sound on , when they bark, it means you have to dodge
And if he is playing with axe, dont panic roll, its very delayed.
And another attack of his , he didappear from nowhere, you have to press dodge as soon as you see him disappear, and then he add a followup with a delayed attack, you will have to timing it

On third phase is when things start to be difficult cuz he has alot of mix up .
He starts with lazers , each laser has his own timing, then he continue with arrows or whatever it is , and then jump on you , you either deflect the arrows , or sprint from then, he jump on you. , 90% of the time he is talking after jumping on you , after he is saying "he" , count like 1.5 seconds and dodge. He has another jump , but this jump is different cuz he is not jumping on you , dodge the arrows , and make sure to use sound on , whenever that red thing in the air make sound of exploding , dodge it , need to be very patient with that . There is another attack that he jump on the air and use his third eye 3 times , this attack is hard to dodge , but! You only can get hit once by this. If you dodged it at first attempt , press dodge fast , dont wait for his animation , press 2 times dodge , if you fail on first attempt , spam dodge , it will make perfect dodges , then he followup with this red attack , wait for it to explode then dodge , will be a good punish . All his other attacks are basically moveset from phase 1 and 2 but with more combos. Make sure to know when to punish him.

You can punish him alot with heavy attacks if you dodge, and counter attack . Plus using heavy attack on him , if you wanna use it, its quite risky cuz he dodge it half of the time, but. Thrust attack is the only stance that can work while full charged, and you have to do it while he is doing combo , if not, 50 % he will dodge you ( but its only if you are playing thrust stance) i played smash stance qnd 1 point at pillar stance .

Also, I watched ongbals video again. Turns out the attack I'm having issues is his 25% attack. Didn't realise as I was so engrossed in the fight. It's dodge the moment his eye flashes red.

It's just false difficulty. You can spend hours thinking you got their moves down but they seem to have infinite stamina. My B button on controller is already acting funny because it seems the combat is just dodge your brains out until you hope to get a good opening. Combos with the staff stances aren't even mediocre as well. My advice is just wait til 40k or God of War Ragnarok on pc if you haven't played it yet.

It's just false difficulty. You can spend hours thinking you got their moves down but they seem to have infinite stamina. My B button on controller is already acting funny because it seems the combat is just dodge your brains out until you hope to get a good opening. Combos with the staff stances aren't even mediocre as well. My advice is just wait til 40k or God of War Ragnarok on pc if you haven't played it yet.
