Just wanted to ask if the guy got nerfed, saw so many people complaining about him and was ready to take a few hours for him but managed him in 3 or 4 trys, btw the ending of chapter 4 T_T felt so sorry for Bajie and spider mommy almost cried a little.

i dont think he got nerffed. its not in patch listing.
theres an air wall in front of his chest. try not to smash his chest with charged smash. hit his side more often

He's not that hard if you use the needle when he uses his eyes. His hitbox is janky af though

People complain a lot about easier bosses. IMO, chapter 2's end boss is probably the most challenging unless you have an upgraded staff, followed by maybe chapter 5. I beat Daoist Master on my first try as well.

So what? The boss os completly stupid tho, the boss from chap 2 i killed in the second try, dont make him less stupid to deal with.

the problem with him is he has an invisible wall in the front. he wouldn't be so hard without it. Plenty of times i'm just wiffing cause you can't get any closer and your range is ♥♥♥♥.

I just stay to his sides. His front is terrible if you are trying to hit him. Doesn't really help since he keeps spinning around or going underground. Annoying fight overall.

I was a bit annoyed by this boss, until I figured out that you can cancel his crazy phase with one item lol.

which item and when do you use it to cancel his gold orb realm thing?

you need to go into the secret level for that chapter to get the item that can cancel his gold orb. To go into the secret level you need to find a spider like human male in the spider cave, it is on the first level of the cave, it is on the other side of the cliff. He is a mini boss that spawn out of a cacoon. He has 8 hands on his back. you have to fight him once in the cave. and another time in the open clearing in the same area where you see a bunch yellow clothed Daoist human.

Then he opens the way for you to go into the secret level when you defeat him the second time. Then you fight a boss in the secret level.

you reward is the same needle that was used to control the pig brother, but purified, you can use that to cancel the gold orb stage of the centipede boss.

Other wise that boss is pretty tough.

Final chapter bosses can be hard in some cases if you do not get the appropriate vessels. I was raging at Yellow Wind Sage as his final stage was almost impossible to hit him due to the winds. Same goes for Daoist in Chapter 4, he has a mechanic that makes the fight very difficult in his 2nd stage but the vessel from secret area in this chapter completely negates it. I killed him on my 2nd try with the vessel.

Disabling automatic camera locking and aiming manually is ten times easier for him. Focus on his sides and rear. The front hitbox is janky.

I use it when he enters it and all I am going to tell you is that you can get it in 4th chapter.

He is easy if your hits do dmg, I'm not having issues getting focus, etc - getting heavies - they just aren't doing dmg. At all. Like it doesn't register. It isn't a hard fight. The bosses all do similar moves. I had to love tap to get him to the last phase, to use needle. I don't know, I am trying to see if there is a special thing you do? Is it ghosting hitbox? I let him kill me so I can come read if I need something - other than needle.
