Question about the sixth relic

So I beat the game the second time only this time I got the bad ending this time instead of the good ending like I did my first playthrough however, I noticed something once I started my next Playthrough is that I didn’t get a point for the last relic, I was able to get points for the others but not the last one, Does it only work if I get them on the good ending or was there something I did wrong?

You must get the true ending.

If you get the normal end, as you'll notice during the cutscene, the Destined One places the circlet on his head - and as a simple explanation, this once again binds him to the will of the Buddha (as the circlet is a constraint upon Wukong that allows Buddha to limit him).

In the true ending, it seems as though Erlang Shen has contained within him some part of Wukong's mind / memories and that by defeating him and obtaining these, the Destined One not only fully restores the Mind of Sun Wukong, but also recognises the circlet as a trick of sorts - or at the least realises that placing the circlet upon his head would be a bad idea.

This is why you only receive the 6th Relic (and 6th Sense) when completing the true ending.

you have to beat the game first after you beat the game dont start new game plus continue the journey then you go back to the huge pillar like building in the snow area I think it was chapter four go in the place a cut scene will play then you beat the true ending boss then you go back to the place where you fight the stone monkey on top of the mountain then after that you start new game plus and you have all six relics there are a bunch of guides on youtube

So my first playthrough I went and beat the final "bosses" at the end and the old monkey put the circlet on me. After that I went and beat the other guy for the "true" ending of the game. There was no evidence I had the circlet or was going to get it. Then I went back and beat the Stone Monkey boss a second time and I got the "good ending." Started NG+ and have the sixth sense awakened! Hope this helps as I was confused, and this means that the order doesn't matter as long as you beat Stone Monkey again!

In the normal ending, you didn't receive the Sixth Sense. I swear the normal cutscene didn't have 6 orbs when Broken Shell return the Relics to Destined One. This is because the Sixth Relic is actually the Destined One all along. Only by achieving the true ending did he realise this. He is the mind of Wukong but lacks the memory.

after i beat erlang secret boss i did treasure quest and other things but first i beat wukong then erlang idk if this matters and after i killed both of them do i need to kill after erlang once again shell before making ng+ to get 6 relic ? or do i just need to kill wukong once and erlang once and i get it

that golden headband that wukong is famous for is actually a bondage device, it basically serve as a shock collar for wukong, as everytime he gone out of control, his masters, Monk Tang would be able to stop him.

get the true ending.. it basically explain the whole plot of the game.

you need to do all the secret areas in the previous chapters, as well as a couple of quests possibly (treasure hunter quest, fox quest (maybe you also need to find the horse dude in chapter 1 -5 but im not sure about him)), to get access to erlang.
its not necessary to fight wukong at the end first, than go back to chapter 3 and fight erlang and than fight wukong again.

when you reach chapter 6, before you go up the mountain to fight the wukong broken shell, you can go to chapter 3 and fight erlang first. that way you only need to fight wukons broken shell once, not twice.

fighting erlang gives you the secret ending, when you go to finish the game by fighting wukongs broken shell, as well as the point you need to upgrad the 6th relic.
