I feel a bit cheated with chapter 6
I'm in chapter 6, I got Wukongs armour set and his staff. Initially I thought that's awesome, I get his unique fighting style unlocked and one more focus point. I can do some awesome bashing, smashing and bonking my enemies on the head.

With all that goodness I went back to previous chapters to pick up some missing bits and bobs for achievements. To my surprise the extra Wukong power only works in chapter 6, that's a bit disappointing to say the least. I would expect to have that extra power in every chapter now.

My question is once I go into NG+ will I get the Wukong fighting style and 4 focus points or is that gone for good on the next play through until I reach chapter 6 again?

The staff retains the 4th focus point anywhere if you have it equiped, but you don't get the Wukong stance outside chapter 6 map.
I have read somewhere that once you play multiple NG+ and unlock all powers from all 6 relics, you get Wukon Stance for some time when you fill the 4th focus point. I am not sure if this is correct though

That's still disappointing that after playing through the whole game, finally becoming Wukong I don't really get his powers. I get just a fraction of them for a limited time under specific conditions. That's a bad design choice.
NG+ should be full on Wukong power, bonking enemies on the head like there's no tomorrow.

TBH, I like the idea of keeping the other 3 stances and just giving temporarry access to Wukong stance once you reach 4 focus. I just wish we could do that without the need for multiple playthroughs.

I'll see how my NG+ goes, if I understand correctly there's still more stuff to unlock and to do. One way or another Wukong should be more powerful with all the stuff from the first play through.
Should be a fun experience to go play again with all that extra stuff.

Well make sure you get Secret Ending too. It's way better and epic then regular chapter 6 end you can get it without ng+

I did the secret ending too. I like the weapon that drops from it, a better version of the purple spear staff with proper damage.
Just that secret ending shows even more power that Wukong had that I won't fully experience in NG+

Cheated how. If you're properly spec'd and have ANY of the four Mythic Staves/Spear, a Sealed Mana build will have 600-780 ATK power... which will one shot basically literally anything on a red heavy, up to and including bosses.

I don't think this has anything to do with strength :zaglol:

More power would mean a stronger bonk on the head, one way or another it makes things better. Any advice on a build that would fit into your description. I know about the self poison build, I saw a few bits and bobs that would make a thunder damage build viable too.
What do You reckon is the best way to go?

The four mythic weapons are all in chapter six, generic one shot build:

You've got to unlock every relic skill, including the relic from the "Secret Ending". 3 skills per relic, all 6 relics every run. so normal, NG+ and NG++ all full playthroughs since you need the secret ending for the 6th relic every time.
