help me find an item that I saw in a stream

so I am in chap 5 and I saw some streameres with an extra ability, below in the hud you can see a second ability next to the Spirit attack thingy
is this some secret boss weapon ?

I only have the spirit attack , so I guess im missing two of them ?

my guess it is the fire resistant mantle. i only found that so far. chapter 3 atm

yes. these are known as vessels. all but 1 of them are found in secret areas. in the very first chapter, the easiest one to get is by ringing all 3 bells and defeating the secret boss that appears once you do that

oh they are items found throughout the chapters, there's one in chapter 1, 2, 4 and 5 from what I've found.

they are mostly locked to the secret areas in each chapter, however the one in chapter 5 is obtained through chapter progression

in chapter 5 you get a vessel by following the story, all the others are secrets. The needle is missable even, as you need to beat the bosses of a secret area in the correct order and need to beat the final boss of chapter 4 before doing that.

in chapter 1: ring the 3 bells, you will be transported to the secret area where you fight a boss, afterwards the fireproof mantle is on a corpse by the third bell.
in chapter 2: you have to do the quest for the swine npc, after doing that you will be able to enter the secret area, complete that area for the item.
in chapter 4: there is a secret area locked behind beating the venom daoist twice, first time he will leave, second time you find him he will be defeated and a secret area will open up, clear the area for the item

you can obtain the needle before doing hundred-eyed daoist master, he has nothing to do with obtaining it nor is there an order, you can skip the bosses in the chapter 4 secret area and only kill duskveil and you will still receive it.
Heck, the needle is an insanely useful item specifically for hundred-eyed daoist master
