How does this work? How many hits do you need to land to activate it? And does it only avoid a blow that would have killed you?

Also, ♥♥♥♥ the targeting in this game. The number of times my charged attacks just whiff makes me want to uninstall.

ikr i started doing jump heavys cause they're a faster way to dump focus points.

I did some testing with this curio and honestly i have no clue what it does or how. theres no animation or attack counter.
i would figure it only saves you from death if you die right after button mashing your light attack on a boss doing a charged attack or something.
the use cases considering we have res potions are very slim.

It takes a total of about 100 hits to activate. Using mobile spin on any enemy is the simplest way to accomplish this.

The best thing to get it to proc is to immobilize the target and then use the spin deflect move due to all the hits. It will take you around 3/4 of your stamina gauge (depending on how much stamina you have) and you should see a little heart icon on the bottom of your health gauge to let you know what it's activated. It will save you from one hit that will kill you, a bubble will surround you.

Change the targeting options in the game play settings - turn on all the targeting options. The one that will help you is "Auto target when attacking" set to "on" - its off by default
