Has anyone upgraded an earlier set to the max?

It seems to be more expensive as I'm already having to pay gold thread just to make epic, but I read a tool tip that said the look could change when you reach a certain level? Has anyone done this? I'd like to know what the upgraded sets look like.

They look the same to me. Only stats change

i preffer the headband that allow me to drink while running.
so i either go with individual pieces that give special ability or 3 combo pieces

Actually I have 2 sets at mythic. That are my 2 primary ones. A new game plus I don't use the endgame armor

Yes, the cosmetics of the sets upgrade when you go from Legendary to Mythic (I didn't notice any changes before then). Is there a particular set you are trying to see?

The pilgrim set. Bruh that thing looks so awesome fully upgraded. Was a nice surprise to see the visuals upgraded.

Steam not letting me edit replies, but i screenshotted a handful of the sets in Mythic quality so you can get an idea of what they look like. Not the world's greatest quality, but just good enough to see the difference lol They are made public so should be able to go to my profile and just look at them.

I've been using the Galeguard. So far all the legendary sets I'm able to craft look awesome, but idk if I prefer there abilities over the Galeguard, but I'm hesitant to craft as it seems like it's gonna cost more mats. I'm already having to use gold thread just to make the set epic, which I don't wanna do, but I'm starting to really feel the pain from these bosses, so I need to pull the trigger soon for the defence. Does it end up costing more to upgrade gear, than to just start out at legendary when you craft?

Judging by those screenshots, only the earlier gear gets the appearance change when upping to mythical, but they look sick. That may have been enough to push me to keep upgrading the galegaurd, thanks.
