Update Stuck Installing

Cannot install the update.
It made me download a 67GB download, waited, restarted steam even, and its just stuck at 22%.

Can't play now.
I waited an HOUR to download the files, and attempt to install them twice and its not working. I have now restarted PC, and Steam, and trying one more time. Downloading 80Gb for a 1.6GB update is INSANE but it doesnt even work after all that.

Get off ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, they have codec in video player that stalls installing on steam. I know you like the midget stuff but turn it off for now

I dont even know what you are talking about. I have VLC Media player for the AV1 codec on my 7900XTX. Not sure what that has to do with this game installing files.

other people having same issues on reddit. Original game install is fine. 200GB free. nothing to do with my side.

Same here, block at 22% installation (200Gb storage free)

update here: Restart PC, free up at least 80GB of space, and let it update. It might get stuck on 22% and show 0 KB of disk usage, but its actually still doing something. Just wait 30 mins or so and it should eventually move to 54% and 78% then complete.

I'm literally having the exact issue, left the game to update overnight stuck on 22%, it would keep dropping down to 0bps and the time to download goes up over a year. Definitely a steam sided problem because all my other games are downloading fine.

You need more space on your drives. Delete a game and it’ll update no problem

Same thing. After downloading the update it started downloading the whole game again. And very slowly

closed all, restarted pc and relaunched steam, it moved from 1% to 22% and that's all

Make some space on your SSD. You’re likely low on space and there isn’t enough room to download the update and for it to apply.

It is a you issue. I’ve had no issues along with a ton of others. Can only be a you problem
