A little bit context for understanding the game's story

So, there are some other topic trying to explain the story. I don't do that here. And I am a man with few words, so I will try my best to give as short as possible background context for English speakers.

First of all, this game's root is based on A journey to the west(西游记), but if you only read the book. You will be still confused af like me. The core take away with a journey to the west is WuKong is monkey that represents a lot of reader's inner self, that's why it's so liked a character. And to understand the hidden meaning of the book, you will need to take a look at the author(at least the one we considered as the author)'s life.
To put it simple, it's some kind of anti bipartisan, maybe country has a voting system know this better. Like, two or more party all have so called "good intention", but to archive their goal, it usually ends damage the world. That's represented in Dao and Budda in the book.

Most of Chinese should be at least somewhat familiar with the part above. But that's just the root where the game is based.

Another part need to be considered as part of the even is Game Science's previous game, 斗战神(I don't know English name for this), and where the game is based on. This game is based another noval, a tale of wukong(悟空传， author 今何在).
I personally never read the noval, but it's very easy to find out, a lot event in Black Myth is originated from there.

So, the way I see the game is that. It's far from loyal to the A journey to the west, I would even consider it some kind of marketing fraud. But if you are really interested in the story, I think those context above should be able to help provide a overview of where to look.

BTW, I don't like the story of the game. The love story is pretty out of place. And the whole story failed to tell what the ♥♥♥♥ does wukong want? And how the ♥♥♥♥ is it going to archive it?

From what i understand, this game takes place after the journey to the west, Wukong dies at the start, and you play as his reincarnation trying to reclaim his lost thingies.

secret ending was so good when the monke became monke and you get to use the monke set with the super extendo pole that goes like 200 feet per monke

You will find the tone of A journey to the west is very different from this game. Because the context I provide happened between game, as far as this game's story goes.
