Missing lesser yaoguai journal entry that should be unmissable (potential spoiler / potential bug)

Leading with potential spoiler for those not in chapter 6. Read at your discretion.

So I've beat the game and even the secret bosses in the secret chapter 3 area for the true ending. I was going around collecting all the journal entries for the remaining side bosses and lesser yaoguai. Turns out I'm missing the very last Lesser Yaoguai entry which is the "Captain of the Court".

Apparently this guy is unmissable and is part of the story per some online resources. I vaguely remember seeing something like him in the very beginning of chapter 6 but I don't think I killed him (he teleported away). So I can't find a way to unlock him and I think this is a bug that I didn't get it before... I don't think there is a way to get him to respawn.

Killed every other enemy and every boss but I guess I'm missing this one random enemy... I dont think I can get it without doing a whole new playthru and getting back to chapter 6 again... just an fyi for anyone else experiencing this because I couldn't find anything about it online.

Same here, missing an end area enemy, I killed it and didn't get them registered in my journal. i'm currently stuck at 55/56

That should be the shield guy of the court. You can try engaging those stone hippos in act 6, the captain can spawn then.

i did go kill the hippos and while those court enemies did spawn, the captain did not. I've moved on to NG+ and will try again when I get to chapter 6 again.
