Did you reboot PC? Can also try a different steam download region. Did you make sure your SSD or HDD has enough space?

I just had this exact same problem. So I had space available(allegedly), like 240GB, and the update kept getting stuck. But I deleted another 200GB worth of stuff and the update just started moving again, and now it's done and I just booted the game up. Good luck!!

Edit: to clarify, the update downloaded fine, but kept getting stuck on the install.

You need to have about 78 GB of free space in the drive that Steam is using as a temp drive to update and patch the game.

I don't have lightning animation in my Kanjin staff, I haven't seen anyone with the same problem yet and I don't know how to solve it

Same here, I cant play the game anymore, the DL is glitched it cant reach more than 1% after the 70 GB update

I got the same so I just uninstalled a game and it works (got so many) The trouble is some games do the whole download again even if just for a small update . I wish they would fix that . They can because its just a small number of games that do that.

Its actually just 1 gb but "Reasons" they want to verify the whole game and reasons you need the extra space. This this is not the only game for this but I do not see the purpose.

The game won't even allow me to check for updates. It pretends there is no update to find. Oh well, guess It'll come at some point. Yes I did check my version, it's not the updated one. It's not a huge deal probably, but ever since chapter 4 the game has been regularly crashing & quitting out (luckily whenever this happens, the progress made is still saved. While I'm put back at a shrine, the enemies I killed stay dead making it fairly quick to get back to where I was... unless I rest and respawn the enemies).

I don't have any issues with the patch. Perharp your disk size is limited since they do suggest to free up 80GB of disk space before update?
