Unable to Ring First Bell

I beat the first boss (the fire demon) but forgot to ring the bell. Went back to do it later but there was no prompt allowing me to ring it. Is this intended or a bug?

How much later? I don’t think it’s missable.

maybe you rang the bell already? Get to the 2nd bell and rang it, if that works, you rang the first one already.

No clue, did you ring the other bells as well? No getting transported to Elder Jinichi or w/e his name is after?

Thanks it’s possible I did ring it and wasn’t paying attention.

Still in the first area of the game so haven’t progressed far (still to find the other two bells).

You definitely haven't missed it then. Just ring the next two bells and see what happens. You probably did ring it and just forgot in your post boss hype.

Thanks to all of your help - let’s hope I won’t have to start a new game as it took me 20 attempts to defeat the Wandering Wight!

(I have played all the Souls games and he was by far the hardest early Boss for me)

Annoying? I had a much easier time with Elder Jinchi than I did Wonder Write.
