Rat King and Son glitch
So I'm doing a NG+ run where I was trying to catch up on stuff I missed. One of them being the Second Prince spirit ability. You have to kill the king first, which sends the prince to a rage.

I did a stupid thing where I quit the battle after killing the king during the fight, because I wanted to see if I could have him react to when I used the Ashen Fury transformation. Not only did the game autosave after killing the king, but I was only able to fight the prince who had no fury going on. And when I did kill him, I saw the king scurry away.

Autosave is a hassle for stuff like this and this feels especially bad when trying to get missable items or gear.

There are backup saves in the folder. You can just load one of them back in and do the fight again.
Huh, I did not know that. And it's handy that I could do the relatively small part quickly to get that soul. Thank you for telling me.

I still think that was a bug rather than a feature that the defeated king doesn't come back if you failed to beat the son.

Where do you need to put it to load it up?

If attempting something like this that's very important, be sure to backup your save, first.

C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\BlackMythWukong\b1\Saved\SaveGames

If you don't know exactly what I'm talking about, I can try and walk you through it or find a video that shows you.

I might even just make a video myself, bc there's apparently a lot of people who don't know about this. You could even use this to make a separate save file right before your favorite boss, and just load it whenever you want to to be able to fight said boss whenever you'd like.
