So just out of curiosity how many attempts did you guys need for the Tiger Vanguard boss.
Took me personally like 10ish attempts?

i can't kill him. no matter how many times i press to dodge this stupid monkey doesn't dodge because the game doesn't respect gamer's reaction time. I have lots of stamina but the game locks some stupid animation and i cant beat him for 2+ hours

Tbh was a bit worried at first when I saw all these posts about the boss but its a pretty decent fight most of the reasons I died was due to my own errors.

Couple of tips:

The light combo primarily consists of four parts..
Part 1 and 2 can be cancelled out of with no delay.
Part 3 is the flurry and that is animation locked, you CANNOT cancel out of this.
Part 4 is the finisher, this also cannot be cancelled but it is quick an efficient so if you get to the finisher you are usually in a good spot.

So you have to plan your attacks around cancel dodging part 1 and 2 of the combo, while accounting for the built in delay to part 3.

The biggest thing about this guy is he punishes dodge spamming, so you really have to learn his attacks...
The attacks that are hardest to dodge are his ability where he crouches for a second then charges towards you in a sword flash and his stone counter.

However almost every other attack combo he has ends with him jumping in the air and doing a landing slam attack on you...

Learn to spot the ending of the combo (where he uses his jumping slam) and punish him after you dodge that...

He is most vulnerable after his jumping slam and his stone counter (if dodged)

I kinda noticed that the fight was much easier once you had the pluck of many spell. So if you haven't, maybe try going a different way and try exploring

It was 7 attempts but since shrine was very close I would not mind if it was even 20. I really hate when you had to do long walks of shame from checkpoint to boss.

Yeah I don't typically consider cardio to be part of my boss fights

struggled with this a lot in the beginning. at some point early on you get a skill that prevents your standard attack chain from resetting after a dodge. I got much further at that point by just tapping attack slowly, watching the enemy for when i needed to dodge. Combine perfect dodging with the skill that gives you increased damage right after, and you have a nice attack string with good power, all while dodging in time.

3rd try but the second attempt was just sloppy and I should've ended it there. One of my favourite fights so far, Mad Tiger was fun too.

the only bosses so far that have got me past 5+ attempts have been Yin tiger and Yellowbrow. Most of the bosses have been first go or two attempts. Mad tiger dropped me the quickest because he did some weird ♥♥♥♥ and hit me with a big rock which caught me off guard.

4-5 for vanguard, 13 for yin.
