Spear + Thrust Stance is the way..

So up until I unlocked the spear, I was Smash stance all the way and had no plans on changing it...

But then I unlocked the spear (nearing end of chapter 3) and switched to thrust stance...

I feel SO MUCH more agile and able to respond with this setup...

I never want to stop using the spear, so I hope another weapon that is stronger exists with a similar moveset...

thrust stance is great, however it will be very bad for a future boss

I was saving Thrust Stance and the spear to next playthrough but I had to use it for Yellow Loong boss as he is specifically countering Bash stance. I prefer Bash due to its mobile charging of heavy attack and ability to stay in the face of a boss due to its varied combo. Thrust is great if you need to hit highly mobile target or need to keep a distance. Once I killed Yellow Loong I switched back to Bash and was golden for the rest of the chapter 4.

I also preferred smasn originally due to it's varied combo options... But once I switched to thrust with the spear I didn't look back... Everything about this stance feels good to me...
