maybe you turned the supersampling slider to the right and turned off frame generation. You will reach with your system not 150+ fps. Raytracing on is very demanding. What you can do is turn the supersampling slider to the leftTurn framegeneration on and cap the frames to 120 or 60. With the new update the raytracing shadows working without cascading shadows. It costs a lot of performance. They stands nothing in the patchnotes. Edit: On Epic Launcher a new Version is out. !.08.....

yes i got the same problem. I was able to play on Ultra, 4K SS-Slider on 80% with stable 60fps the first few hours of the game. And while i tried the black loong boss serveral times i suddenly had framedrops to 30. Today is was able to kill the boss with smooth 60fps and after leaving the area i had framedops again. changed everything to low including SS-slider didnt help.

same is happening to me... on my first start up of the game i played 3+ hours at 90fps constant with ray tracing to very high and all graphic settings to very high... i loaded it up the next day and i get 20 fps and get up to 40 fps if i turn ray tracing to low... for sure feeling like this is a bug with the game..

When you turn Full RT on, the change to enable Full RT doesn't take effect until after you restart. It's the same with the benchmark tool. So you were probably playing with Full RT off, and then you were playing with it on and the AMD GPU you're using doesn't stand a chance of handling it.

I'm 20 hours in and have had no changes in the performance really.

I have a nvidea rtx 3070 ti. Had similiar problems even when setted everything to the lowest. Have the latest driver installed.

Ive had similiar problems + audio problems.
Moved the game install from HDD to SSD now everything works perfect.
Maybe my hdd is faulty or the game is really demanding on storage performance

You saved my life, I was getting 120fps at 2160p DLSS at 85/Quality Cinema/High I was freaking stock early today. Came back to the game and I couldn’t barley get 60.. I was so mad I reinstall Drivers and the game. I didn’t even want to play it no more. Searching for answer with google and this answer you gave me fix the damn issues. It’s RT, RT medium puts me at about 75-80, nope I want 120 turn that jump off because I’m not lowering the DLSS I like it 85 quality. Thank soooo much.

I have a similar problem, I recently got a new Ultrawide Monitor (3440x1440) and i could run the game without any problems on Cinematic pre-setting with RT on high etc and it ran absolutely phenomenal on 80-90 Fps. i played for a couple of hours and when i tried playing the game a few days after it just didn't go past 30fps and felt extremely bad with hard artificing and so on... I've been having this problem for a good week now and its every time i launch the Game. I even tried lowering the settings, and somehow I'm getting on low Pre-set less FPS than on Cinematic. Anyone knows anything about this?? its really fricking annoying.

Thank you so much! BinaryJay, your solution is the correct one. I have an rx 6800xt and I had the same problem mentioned in the thread.
While RXs have ray tracing capabilities, enabling it on Wukong lowers performance a lot. Disable ray tracing, restart the game and you should be able to play without any issues.

The game has path tracing, so the lighting is amazing without ray tracing.

Path tracing IS ray tracing, it's the most complete form of ray tracing you can use where everything is lit with ray tracing and nothing is rasterized. "Full RT" is just the newer term for "Path Tracing", they are the same. All current AMD hardware is a generation or more behind in terms of performance so using Full RT/Path Tracing (which is just a lot more RT) exacerbates that particular weakness.
