Only chapter 3 and already max most pill stats

Max HP, MP, Stamina and stamina recovery. Pretty much have the four banes left and then have anything that is not the special pill I heard about. Already have a single one for the Chill, so 35 for that bane and 36 for the other three.

I must be confused. I'm in chapter 3 and I only just maxed out 1 stat; defense. How did you get enough pills in chapter 3 to max out most the pill upgrades??

You can farm mind cores from spear bones,( horse skeleton w spear and big shield, the rate is maybe 10% at least, I get like one every round, sometimes 2) but snakes? they havent dropped for me, and I farmed 3 rounds in chapter 1 snake area....

In chapter 2 you can find an npc to exchange mind cores to upgrade your stats.

Power ups. I tend to suffer from tunnel vision, so anything that lets me survive longer is something I'll hunt down. Plus, the extra sparks gained help as well,

Go to snaker trail in ch1, there is a chance one of four living snake guys will drop a mind core (the skeleton ones that come to life if you get too close do not drop them)

In chapter 4 you can get a golden carp and turtle mask that increases the droprate of items...

Also I think almost any 'powerful' enemy in the game is capable of dropping mindcores. Chapter 2 has a pretty good spot near the shrine that leads to the secret area. Chapter 3's temple area seems to be the best for getting those drops by making a round and killing as many of those blind monks as possible (and those other strong guys who throw stuff at you).

That said, there's no need to farm. I'm mostly through NG+ and have enough mind cores to max all but 1 stat (I have like 14 or so unused ones). They drop a lot more in NG+, especially once you get a 2nd golden carp. I'll be maxing it out effortlessly along the way.
