well tell me about it I own samsung qd oled tv and monitor + a bunch of portable oled devices. iphone is by far the most impressive in regards to picture quality. rest have their quirks. it's mostly too washed out, so I never enable it.
Hmm, odd. It's never washed out for me.

Perhaps check your colour space settings. Also it could mean that whilst the GPU is outputting HDR the monitor or TV might not have HDR turned on for that particular input.

Have you tried the AW3423dw? HDR works well.
got the g80sd and still prefer sdr over hdr.

honestly it could be that I had bad luck and received terribly calibrated units but even at my brothers place with a professionally calibrated lg g series oled, dolby vision and hdr look terrible compared to phones.

Who makes you the expert on OLED tv's?

so again-will the full game support HDR or not?

same for me. 55" OLED 4K 120Hz Gsync. (+4090)
HDR in Cyberpunk is nice. (and other games)
and this TV is from 2021/2022
Clear and smooth picture with very nice colours

well, was not very impressed by the benchmark. looked little boring that scene. and no ultrawide and no hdr, i mean, we have 2024 and not 2015

To be fair this is benchmark it doesn't need to be interesting and just do it's job. Ofc it's nice to watch a cool scene, but honestlly i'm just happy that benchmark was provided at all, it's not a very common feature in games.

I agree with you on the lack of HDR though, that's a big shame as i will be playing on OLED, but you can use nvidia RTX HDR feature, but again that costs performance as it shifts job to GPU - and oh boy do you need every drop of that performance in this game.

I did 3 benchmarks just now with 4080/13600K:
1440p/cinematic/DLAA/RT OFF - 50-60
1440p/cinematic/DLAA/RT ON - 27-30
1440p/cinematic/DLSS Quality(67%) /RT ON - 55-60

So yeah the game is crazy demanding though i expected that since this is UE5 title. I'll test 4K tommorow, but from this results i suspect i'll play DLSS Quality-Balanced/RT OFF - hopefully that will get me to 60fps.
What's weird to me is - why is there no way to play native resolution?, it's either DLAA or upscaling, i don't think i've ever seen native resolution being absent in the game lol

so..no...HDR full game?
Roie Aug 14, 2024 @ 4:42pm
so no one knows the if game itself will have HDR?

bump...again.

at least it runs standard on Upscaling. =)
would never support a game standarding ♥♥♥♥ like Upsaling or TAA as both methods introduces Ghosting and reduces overall quality.

at least this game is overall okayish with the optimizesations. was running really well for me on an average laptop normal user have =)

no HDR no buy?
Melodious Aug 15, 2024 @ 1:36pm
Yeah I'm running the benchmark and I'm a bit shocked.

My screen does fantastic HDR so this is a big loss for me.

Sounds like you need to learn to calibrate your screens. Or maybe you don't know you have to turn it on in Windows?
The Perciprical Aug 15, 2024 @ 1:48pm
I think 80% of monitors don't even have HDR in them. Let alone my 700 dollar PC monitor doesn't, neither does this game.
There have been occasions where I use HDR but It's rare to see it in games nowadays.
