100% Native runs at 57-63 on my rig, and my rig is a beast, so holy shnikies this game is demanding at maximum settings and 4K. However, I did max ray tracing, too. Not just base specs.
Yeah, I just realized, the benchmark tool didn't save my changes. Dear gawd is this horrendously optimized.
Yeah, this is some concern just before launch, I would say. I may wait on the game until it's a bit more optimized.
Apparently that was at 50%, the Super Resolution made no sense, but I think I get it now, and whoa, waiting might be best here.
Just run it on the 50% res it comes set to and use fsr/dlss. At 4k, the quality difference is barely anything. You'd have to nitpick each scene to see the difference. My xtx is getting 215fps at the 50% with fsr all high settings and unless you get 2in from the screen, you ain't see a graphical difference. Especially if you have dlss.
Oh, I found the sweet spot, and it is just some rigs that can't run it.
Since I have a 7900XTX, I just compromised for Cinematic w/o Full RT, FG, 77% (Quality FSR). It's stable enough 90FPS highs 35+FPS lowest, I just never will be a huge fan of Frame Generation on top of scaling with top end cards. However, it's running like a beast since the opening fight (Had a few crashes when taking too many screenshots at once during the fight) at these settings.
It's not horrendously optimized, it's allowing you to use settings based on your own criteria. You running 4k with ray tracing on max with DLAA is Your choice and it is going to ask a LOT from your computer to do so. Consider it a "Future proofing." like crysis did. When crysis came out, no computer on the market could run the game at max settings. Those that tried, crashed and burned. Two years or so later, people ran it fine at max settings.
Like literally, read the post. Some rigs just crash endlessly, so yeah that's optimization, as is the horrendous way it runs without FG on AMD cards, comparatively, Nvidia is optimized, which you're bragging about, time to look outside your cave.
