Ray Tracing
I don't notice it while on. Is it even worth it at this point. I'm playing my LGC2 TV

Ray Tracing is conflict with UE5 Lumen. You can just turn it off

It's not worth it, at least with this game. RT shadows are way too dark in some parts. There isn't enough of bounce light to illuminate the area especially close to the water with a lot of sunlight. Native GI is doing a way better job.
The most interesting part is that water losses ripple details with RT On. Denoiser can't keep up to render in the details. It looks flat and blurry. There's no skylight on the water whatsoever like with native lighting. Pre-baked or not it looks better.
Shadows do look sharper but I just don't see the significant visual impact that justifies the FPS drop. In action heavy scenes, those frames will drop even more.

Thank you U appreciate the analysis. I kept going back and forth with RT I barely noticed anything or I'm tricking myself thinking there is a difference

You need to turn off GI or set it to low to see the difference.

UE5 as far as I know has its own built-in lighting system.
However Ray Tracing is far more advanced in (some) areas.
as in (some) meaning it depends from game to game how well it does.
Meaning you won't notice it until its medium or very high.
Nvidia is also set to release a graphics driver for 40 series for specifically this game for ray tracing.
So yes, It will make a difference on the looks, as its a completely different lighting system, it's just really graphics intensive and has been in a state of 'release' and 'beta' forever.
