if you use immobilize, he'll counter it with super armor
if you use plunk of many, he'll brainwash them and you'll ended up fighting your clones
Was satisfying af in ng+ to beat that dude within 20 seconds.
not really sure about get good part as he isnt a difficult boss... in fact, non of the chapter 3 boss are difficult, they just annoying to fight because of their gimmick.
When you use the ability to freeze him he'll always turn into gold after the initial cast. He can get stunlocked from start to finish if you goat him into turning gold then break him out with a charged smash or wright transformation because the transformation itself will make him stand still for a few seconds and breaking him out will also leave him open for a few second.
Difficulty is subjective. Since you cant use spells that typically make the bosses easier like immobilize and pluck of many means against him you have to get gud if you struggle.
I had a fair share of problems the first time I fought him. After I got gud he is a cakewalk. As expected after some practice.
The chapter also give you a spell that buffs your physical power while removing your ability to use spells. The guy giving it to you pretty much hinting at you using it on yellowbrow.
Yeah tbh I neglected using it in my first playthrough since I enjoyed the spells and spirits.
I kinda hate how it disables everything. I love the spirits and transformations. Can live without the magic tho.
I pretty much ignored the ability after realizing how broken it was. Most end game bosses will eventually learn to counter your abilities and transformations but the spell in question pretty much give you an insane damage increase with no real draw back because bosses don't ever learn to counter you physical attacks.
It is definitely worth using if you're hard stuck on a boss you can't rely on magic. At the end of the day the game gives you a lot of ways to make it easier and its really up to you if you want to give yourself a challenge.
In chapter 3 you will find a human treasure hunter (immediately after the turtle there is a shrine, face right and follow the shore). You will find him again near the temple where he is freezing to death. If you use ring of fire around him he will tell you about a patch of water melon off the cliff. If you go to said cliff and jump down you will get into a boss fight and unlock the spell. The spell in question heavily buff your physical attack while removing your ability to cast any magic. It's good against Yellow Brow because he hard counters most of your magic abilities but not your physical attacks.
