Black Myth has to win GOTY 2024

This game was probably the most anticipated game of 2024 for many, many people including myself, because let’s be real. The Videogame industry has been on decline for a while, and seriously, what other games apart from Wukong were this strongly anticipated?

Final Fantasy 7 Interslop? Persona 3 Reloaded? Tekken 8 ?

Without a doubt I can tell You that Black Myth Wukong was the most anticipated game of the year by quite a sizable margin, the hype around this game was unreal, and many even debated whether or not the game was even real, given how people are so used to fabricated gameplay footage that ends up being fake.

And now that the game it’s out and fans have seen the game with their very own eyes, the hype has only grown stronger, the game has received such a massive commercial and critic success that it has genuinely become a contender for this year’s GOTY.

Because let’s be real, Final Fantasy 7 Remake doesn’t deserve the GOTY. Whoever it was at Square Enix that decided to put the reputation of FF7’s Legacy at jeopardy by allowing Tetsuya Nomura (No-Less) re-write the story of one of most beloved games in videogame history into one of his crackheaded fanfic shenanigans needs to be fired.

And yes Nomura, we see You, your stories are all so very-well written and deep. Now go to sleep champ.

That leaves us with Black Myth Wukong as the only real GOTY Contender for this year. No, seriously… what other games are worthy of the title?

I'm my opinion Game Science has proven that they are capable of making solid games. And don't get me wrong, Black Myth Wukong is not without it's flaws, it's a very flawed game BUT there isn't anything out there than can remotely compete with this game in terms of quality.

The Soundtrack is amazing, the visuals stunning, the gameplay is serviceable, but the abilities, transformations and bosses are a chef kiss. And while the Story/Lore of the game is based on the Journey to the West novel, all of the new additions or expansions to the lore are pretty well-written.

So all in all I think this game is going to be awarded Game of the Year, simply because there isn't anything remotely on this caliber that was released this year.

And no, Helldivers 2 doesn't deserve the GOTY, stop capping Act Man.

BM Wukong can never win GOTY for one simple reason, those in charge of selecting the GOTY game would not even consider it as it doesn't check their one massive criteria, WOKENESS.

It's simply not woke, in fact, it eschews wokeness so nope, no GOTY award for sure! For GOTY consideration, look at Western made game infested with ESG/DEI like AC Shadows, SW Outlaws, Dustborn (despite it bombing....badly) and other such 'PC' games.

Playing it on the ps5 and honestly, stellar blade will be my GOTY.
Combat is faster and smoother.
Can't recall walking into invincible walls.
Combat is still challenging, especially the last few boss fights.
You can block and parry.
Open world that aren't too huge but has enough exploration.
Difficulty option.

All of this can't be said for wukong. Yes it's a good game but I don't feel drawn to it as with stellar blade.

Gooner Blade isn't good. I borrowed the game from a Friend who "Bought it for the meme" and if anything Eve's Assets are the game's only saving grace.

There's a lot of loading screens, the story is pretty stupid with the plot-twists being more than obvious, like seriously Adam and Eve? You kidding?

The Combat wants to be Souls but with Devil May Cry elements and it's pretty basic, plus the game is super easy, posing no challenge to the player through the experience.

Again, the only saving grace for You Coomers was that Eve's Ass and Chest has giggle physics and that You can dress her as your average hooters employee, but that's it. Some of the Outfits got censored as well, so the best part of the game was also nerfed lmao.

Then again Black Myth Combat System isn't as deep, but it doesn't need to. What the game sets out to do, it does it wonderfully. It's a Re-tale and continuation of the Novel of A Journey to the west, the game pays a lot of time, care and respect for the source material and it shows everywhere that it's a passion project made by devs that love their culture.

Coomer Blade will never top that off, it wasn't a game made out of passion, it was a game that wanted to be controversial to sell copies to corn addicts. And don't get me wrong, I love beautiful, fit and on-shape women as much as the next guy, but SB Sucks Ass bro, literally.

Keeping aside the "woke" aspect, Wukong is mediocre. It does not even have a block mechanics. The attacks are smash smash and smash. I haven't played past chapter 4 but it looks you don't get any "Four banes" special weapon ( or do you ). All the ailments are for players. You can't inflict on enemies. This game is rushed, unoptimised unreal engine slop and just mediocre. The popularity is something else because everything is politicized now. Technically the game is not even as good as God of War 2018.

You're full of it, already screenshotted your so called "review" as what you said here completely contradicts your score. You gave it a 10/10 and yet you're complaining about the game, you can't give something a perfect score if you have your own issues with the game

I actually liked Stellar Blade but Eve's assets was not the reason why I bought that game.

I bought it because I heard about all the hoopla of it due to it not being woke ..

And then I downloaded and played the demo and found that I enjoyed the demo ...

So I bought it and enjoyed the game... That is pretty much it

where they still making games for the xbox 360 in 2015... I thought they had moved on to the xbox 1 at that point

I bought Wukong with all the hype , but I just don't find it as much fun nor is it all that compelling when compared to Stellar Blade ...

and that is my opinion
