Stalker 2 Has been stuck on development hell for quite a while, I don't think it's going to come out in a good state.
But yeah, so far I don't think any game historically has caught on like WuKong. It's just a solid game.
I do believe this Wukong deserves a nomination for sure though.
Not going to lie, I was looking out for the new Dragon Age game, but given the new trailers... Eww... It's a Sweet Baby Inc Game 100%
I don't think they have that much power over the most played Steam game of the moment.
If the game doesn't win everyone will know that the results were rigged, I've also remembered that these last few "Game Awards" hosted by Geoff Keighley have been a complete disaster and a joke.
Anyways if I remember correctly Steam at the end of the year runs a survey to nominate the GOTY. It will most likely win on the Steam Surveys.
