I am not a huge fan of God of War but I really enjoy Wukong. It's definitely closer to a souls game in every aspect. Closer to Nioh, in terms of gameplay, Sekiro/souls.

Hard agree. Black Myth Wukong legit has like 7 moves. Full light combo, 1 varied combo w/ finishers per stance, 1 charged heavy attacks per stance. This combat system is as deep as a puddle. NEVER compare it to God of War in terms of combat.

I've got no dog in this fight. My only other experience with Souls Likes is playing a bit of the Lies of P demo.

exactly and a lil bit how you interact with the npcs for quests. nothing really like souls games. you lose nothing when you die, no different builds with weapons, no variety in weapons. game isnt even punishing like souls games. also only a couple bosses actually one or two tap you in Wukong. flask, bonfire, and quest is the only resemblance

Honestly, this game reminds me of the first time I played the original Devil May Cry. I'm only on Chapter 3 but that feeling has persisted.

Yea but it bares way more similarities to a souls title in regards to combat flow, responsiveness and overall excitement when fighting. IDK i think god of war is just not good so I can't understand the similarities when it's obvious how much fin i am having with this game.
