Do you ever get to upgrade gear?

Being able upgrade the tier of these sets would go along way to making this game better. Most of these sets are niche, not having to use a build you don't want for the defense, and instead choosing to use your resources to upgrade your current if you want just seems like a no brainer, but I'm almost on chapter 4 and still can't.

It's locked behind a secret in chapter 3. Which requires you to do something in chapter 2 and remember you did it, so you can get to the chapter 3 secret.

yes in chapter 3 you can with a blacksmith. it's amazing because every older set you got can still be useful but upgrade mats are hard to get. so choose wisely, but you can get more I guess if you play NG+ after beating the game. I'm on Chapter 6.

it's not a secret, more like a side quest. the dragon was literally standing in the water in plain sight and the piggie will attack him when you walk pass the beach.

The scroll is considered the secret of chapter 3, so yeah, it's a secret. Further, you have to remember who Xu dog is and I was speaking the way I was so it wouldn't be spoiled for OP because people care about stuff like that. If they wanted to know outside of that, I would of gladly explained it.

I heard upgrading your first gear can help you alot. But they also say upgrading ya second gear is good as well. I haven't upgraded yet. Buuut... I should do that.

There's a secret area You unlock in chapter 3. It's a small village area where all your vendors will be once You gain access to it, including 2 new vendors. You will gain access to a farmer and a blacksmith. There are quests later in the game starting from chapter 4 that require that area to be unlocked.

Every set has its unique abilities for a specific build and play style. So whichever you find most interesting and fun. I like the golden set the most because you can build up qi fast and use spirit skill almost nonstop which is super fun.

This is kinda retarded. You need gold thread for everything but u only get them from bosses. So u can upgrade ♥♥♥♥. Idk just cheat resources if u wanna upgrade ur armor, not to be op but to have decent set for ur lvl not only from ur last chapter
