About the "See Through" move/counter

I have been reading the descriptions and tooltips for the See Through skill.
Tried to get it to work on the Tiger Vanguard, but it was more miss than hit as it would regularly flash white, fail altogether with me taking a ton of damage. Every now and then it would flash red and I would stagger the Tiger.

How is it actually supposed to work, or: how am I supposed to time it?

In the end I decided to just focus on dodging and using the Cloud Step, which worked after an attempt or 2.
I was level 27, not sure if that caused me to take massive damage when getting hit, but not being able to use "See Through" properly sure didn't help.

You should time your move just like a perfect dodge. Do a Heavy Attack when the enemy attack is about to hit you and it will trigger the Resolute Counter, you'll take no damage and get a lot of focus. It is pretty fun move and I use it more than dodging.

You can also continue attacking with Light Attacks to keep up your combo.

So, I have to time it so that my light attack can be followed up by a heavy attack just as an enemy is about to hit me?

The horse/rock mobs in the ch2 might be good for practising on if the tiger's punishing you, they can take a hit and have predictable moves.

It's pretty reliable when you get the hang of it.

I will try with those or the shield rats. I killed the Tiger when I decided dodging was a better strategy.
I'm kinda sad now, Tiger is a very fun fight!
