Black Myth: Wukong

Black Myth: Wukong

İstatistiklere Bak:
First despicable boss: Kang Jin Loong.
First boss fight I don't even feel like trying again after the first attempt.

That thing is never on the ground, insta-grabs, hits with his tail from out of the screen ...
I've fought for a good five minutes and was barely able to get one fifth of its health bar.
Paralyse? Too high to hit, bad luck.
Monkeys? Useless.

That's the first "fight" that's not fun at all.

Am I supposed to fight it for 25 minutes, only dodging and getting licks from time to time?
This feels stupid.

I need a gun.

What am I missing?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
edit:
It appears my first fight was "broken" as the boss kept hovering and spamming the same two or three attacks (including grabs)

My next fight were "normal" and when I tried the pillar stance (only one point in it) I downed him in two tries.

I'm sorry i can't take this post seriously when all it has to say is that you have no patience.
I don't even mean like a minute, 30 seconds, i mean 5 seconds of patience.. You literally came here crying about a boss, after seeing it the first time, getting like 3 hits in as you described it, and dying to it. Now you expect what exactly here in this post ?

The devs to notice ? And be like, omg hes right ! Nerf her ! (it's a she) Glue it to the ground.
If you just allow yourself to see the damn thing, you'll see it will open itself to hits.

OOOOOH REALLY? it's a... "SHE"?

well then what are her pronouns? huh? TELL ME! TELL ME!
After he does his claw attacks he does a roar but no attack and it's an easy opening. When he buries his claw in the ground and tears it up he'll follow it up with a tail slam that leaves his tail exposed on the ground for a bit.

Pillar stance heavy will give you a good range with high focus to get a nice hit in when he's hovering nearby but not so near to run up to in time. I expect you could counter his dashes with the pillar stance if you've upgraded it but I didn't try it.

When he's doing the claw attacks he doesn't move around much so get in there, the claws are pretty easy to dodge. Once you're getting hits in he falls to the ground quite quickly and leaves a big opening for piling on the heavy hits.

PIllar stance wrecks loongs.
That did the trick. I was able to keep it on the ground long enough to harm him decently.
It only took two tries with the pillar.

If only I was able to hit him ...

You've got a lot at your disposal to help close that gap.

Cloud Step spell + light attack.

Immobilize spell.

Using the Wind Tamer Vessel can actually knock enemies down or stagger them.

All three stances have some range on their charged attacks. Plus there's jump attacks, especially jump heavy attacks.

Unless you're somehow NEVER getting hear the boss even once, the Wandering Wight spirit is also good for knocking enemies around.

The boss doesn't have too many attacks either. Dodge around them and hit when you can.

Don't know what else to say other than maybe change up your strategy. Or just take a break for the day and come back to it fresh.

EDIT: Your clones can also get some hits in. And the light attack sequence for Smash stance is good.

oh, if you feel this way about the dragon hovering, you gotta love the pagoda realm =D

If you're talking about who I think you're talking about, that boss is at least optional.
Wind Tamer is a good trick. I'll try it next time I'm on a boss I need to stagger.

After my first fight, the boss wasn't as ridiculous. It was not hovering almost all the time.
And when I tried with the pillar stance, he was toast.

I'd suggest watching a guide on YouTube. But once you own this boss it's a good feeling. Later bosses feel a lot more rewarding obviously, but you always remember your first.

I did, that's how I saw my first fight was kind of an outlier. (He didn't behave normally.)

---

Thanks everyone.

Now I'm in the pagoda and hate the place with a passion. (Separate post ^^)

BRO!!!!!!!!!!!!
her name is QUAINE bcuz she's f*kn fabulous, not necessarily because she's a her!
get your facts straight mfer!
Important Note that everyone forgets: bosses can switch phases regardless of hp.
Thats why so many people are complaining about different bosses.
Sometimes the boss just decides to kill you.
It was very obvious to me in the cyan dragon where once he enchanted his blade when he had about 75% health left and beat me like a pinata.
In my best attempt i stunlocked and staggered it until it enchanted it sword at 25% hp.
A very good feature that ALL soulslike games should have

You're being rude for no reason, mfer. Calling ME bro is misgendering me. You couldn’t even defend your own point without calling her she/her.

You are telling me you expect a giant flying dragon with lightning and ice breath to be easy? This isn't Dark Souls. Dragons aren't going to sit on the ground and let you hit them even though they clearly have wings. Not to be THAT GUY but I literally just made a post about this being one of the best boss fights I have seen in gaming AND I one shot him.

You need to take a step back and stop being so aggressive with your gameplay. He has clear openings and pauses for you to hit his head and tail. Combine that with your skills/talents and you should be able to beat this boss in a similar fashion. I have been using the thrust stance and find it much more useful than any of the other stances. If you would like tips or help you can ask for it instead of calling something so clearly amazing a bad boss fight.

You want to know what bad boss fights are? Practically every boss in Elden Ring. They have a huge issue with one shotting you ALL the way to level 60 vigor. Wow, level 60 vigor which equates to minimum of 60 levels without designating any other skillpoints? You can survive two entire hits now, congratulations!
