Yellow Wind Sage boss

I've probably tried this boss like 40 times by now...3 hours on & off. I am so close to giving up on this game lol

Go do Yellow-Robed Squire questline if you haven't, see if there's side/secret bosses you missed, and come back.

I do, and I'm using it during phase 2. Doesn't seem to be doing a whole lot for me

Update: got the staff & it helped me beat him lol. Took two tries after obtaining it

I've been trying for the last 30 minutes and keep getting him to 10% health before he jumps behind the storm wall and attacks me while invulnerable. idk if it's a bug or just that the arena is too small but he's not even a difficult boss.

I'm up to Chapter 4 and if you stack defense you can make mistakes in boss battle without getting one shot so it's definitely good to stack defense until you are confident around perfect timing. Wandering Spirit in Chap 1 gives a lot of def and does a very quick heavy smash that typically knock down most bosses that can be knocked down if you follow up with more heavy attack. In Chap 3 you also gets an Epic Curio that boost a lot of def. Also talk to Xu Dog and makes more Heavenly Medicine, you can tweak your stat to your liking.

I was actually surprised how easy he was. Shocked he was the final boss of the chapter. Tiger in the pool of blood was WAAAY harder. 3-4 tries, but got really close 2 of the tries. Front loaded a charged heavy, unleashed ALL magic, which got him to nearly 25%, then had to do just enough poking, but had plenty of healing survive.
