Stop bringing in SBI stuff that has nothing to do with the game. Keep it out of here.
The "lack of variety" part just tells me that this guy hasn't played past the first chapter of the game.
It really is. 7 out of 10 is good.
They didn't bring any interesting points though. The boss rush aspect of the game is something one can indeed be disapointed by.
As is the lack of exploration. But instead they talk about how difficult to follow the story is?
Get out...
There are enough technical issues combined with linear aspects (looking at you endless invisible walls) that limit it from being higher.
I think with a little better level design (compass and map maybe), slightly more fluid/responsive gameplay, and some other options (weapons perhaps, difficulty settings), etc. it could have been a 9.
I think the studio/dev team has a bright future.
Lol, short? Now I know you're trolling.
Sounds like an average RPG length for a game. Unless you're expecting the Ubisoft 200 hour grind.
We can safely say that any standards that IGN uses to judge games, cannot be trusted for both good and bad games.
Access media always have a conflict of interest
I personally lean towards 8/10 but I have no issues with this type of rating...
That said IGN is about the WORST source you can get reviews from... I never really trust much of anything they say...
Same thing with polygon...
Just like you shouldn't expect a film journo to accurately rate a movie, the meat of judgement is the audience. Overhype or not, people liked Elden Ring even tho the journos criticized it harshly.
IGN also gave Dustborn a 7/10 so take that for what you won't lol
