After reaching NG+ and filling all journal entries, 7/10 sounds fair IMO.
Game is good and definitely worth buying, but it's no masterpiece (and that's fine).

7/10 is fair, I would say 8/10 but give or take 1 point is totally fair in my book. There are games far better, but if we had 5/10 as the norm, 7/10 is pretty high standard review.

7/10 sounds very reasonable. 7 or 7.5 / 10 is a realistic score for the game in my opinion. The game is fun, but if someone is not familiar with the source material the story feels very disjointed to the point you have no real idea why you are doing what you are doing and you just hit stuff and kill enemies "because", westerners will not know any of the characters really and the game assumes you all know them from childhood.

The level design is plagued with invisible walls, the fact you only have one weapon feels a bit limiting, I also think defeat or even win by cutscene is bad game design. How many times do you "defeat" an enemy here, only for the enemy to retreat and to return later... or even worse maybe... you "defeat" an enemy or so you think but it only triggers a cutscene where the piggy then "defeats" it for you after you tried for an hour to finally beat the boss and I am simply no fan of defeat by cutscene like in chapter 3 for example when you end up in the pagoda realm etc.

Still, the combat is fun, the levels here and there look great, sadly especially the volcanic level and the final (chapter 6) level feel a bit boring, be it Muspelheim in God of War or chapter 5 here, these landscapes just look very, very boring, chapters 3 and 4 are certainly the highlights. All in all there is room for improvement for a potential sequel, so if this were already a 10/10 the sequel would then be a 12/10?

As a first entry in the AAA single player genre by this studio this is a good effort, but not perfect by any means as 10/10 would imply.

anyone gives this game less than 9/10 extremely biased and dishonest

literally just based on the graphics and animations, this game is literally the best ever. Not the mention really cool combat system and items. and the list game on. you can tell the devs really gave this game so much love. amount of details in every aspect in this game is out of this world
