I found a weird and inconsistent workaround. The benchmark had low fps and my save file. Then after closing some background software like adrenaline - I loaded a "New Game" and the cut scene/intro fight was buttery smooth - As if the game had recompiled shaders? Loaded up my main save file and it was working fine.
Not sure if anyone else has an idea on how to address this as I have to literally start a new game, skip the cut scene then go load my save to get it to run properly. If i follow another order of loading my original save first or continuing journey, it won't work.
Will update if cleared cache, redownload worked. I've also enabled Steam to compile shaders in background which ill also test.
Just to confirm even with cache cleared, redownload etc same issue is persisting. Feels like a lottery on when I boot it up, a shame as i've been really enjoying it.
My games working today and I'm not sure why, though I usually link to either a 65 inch LG C1 via hdmi, or I'm on the aw3225qf at my desk - seems to be working on this today rather than the tv?
Another thing I've done is boot with raytracing disabled, then enabled once I've loaded in - which could be helping it. Alternatively not having bluetooth on and only connecting controller after game has booted. Did you attempt to load a new game too or any of those options?
Enabling or disabling RT requires a game restart. You don't have RT on if you did not restart after enabling.
Yeah as in i’d load the game without, reactivate it, then restart and it would start working. But very inconsistent in doing this.
For everyone else with same issues Ray Tracing is defo the issue, will test further but it went from being fine to killing performance. If i boot the game with it first time round the performance is broken with it either on or off unless I restart my pc, only fix so far is first launch needs to have Ray Tracing off
Had the same issue when I updated my AMD drivers, had to rollback to the may update and it works fine.
