Understanding the light/heavy attack rhythm is such a game changer

I have stuck at the first two bosses for hours just by smashing the attack and dodge buttons. Then I found out the real way to use the smash and thrust stance.

The key is to get familiar with the timing of the five stages of the light attack. This allows the very powerful combo with the heavy attack (stances). These powerful combo is not only extremely high damage, but also provides better defense than dodging. Not to mention the satisfactory from the nice visible feedback from successful performing these combos. Such is the charm of action oriented games.

There are a lot of video tutorials on how to attack properly. It's worth taking a look.

The bottom line: Don't smash the attack buttons. Learn the rhythm. Then this game is not hard at all.
