I accidentally sold one of the riceball, is there a way to get it back/farm it for the last feeding?

Yes, you can. its probably random drop from the cocoons. I sold one too, so i tried to destroy some more cocoons and got one

You can farm them again from cocoons, if you sold them.

They are for feeding the armourworm, in the painted village. After you feed him 3 riceballs, and rest after each feeding cycle, you can absorb the armourworm soul and use it in combat.

To get the armourworm in the painted village, you have to defeat the armourworm miniboss in the spider chapter, and give Chen Loong the thing he drops when killed.

You use them to feed the Elder Armourworm, You need 3 riceballs. You can do that in the Zodiac Village after killing the boss in chapter 4 that drops the baby worm item. You just have to talk to the farmer in there, reload the area and feed the little worm. After some time You can collect it, it's a new monster skill You can use.
