Random Lags and freezes
I like the game, sure, it doesn't redefines the genre and tells a story well known. But these lags rob me off any joy I have. And if it lags, it may also simply freeze! In the middle of an attack, or a cutscene, or just because I walk through a cave.

And there is a high chance that the game simply crashes without a warning when it freezes. Not even telling me if there was a memory issue, or a dll issue, or anything.

Fix that ASAP!

Did you fix it ?
I’m having the same issue but only when entering the cave after the snake spear guy
what are your pc specs? did you try lowering graphics?

@insanseavatar Rtx 4060, Ryzen 7 5700x, 32gb ram, and yes, but it didn't help, but also haven't played it after it became unplayable during a boss fight.

@thegodiamond nope, tried a few things but simply gave up. Seemed like an optimisation issue and I am not doing the developers job.

I have a similar setup to yours. I turned off the Steam overlay, then disabled Steam controller inputs. in the Nvidia control panel, turn the shader cache off or on no more than 128. Turn the graphics down to High, v-sync off. It still stuttered, froze, and still had bad controller input lag during intense interactions. Turned out I had to put an SSD on the motherboard. Oh yeah, if you still have lag input buy a wire for your controller or a dedicated wired controller. Those solutions worked for me, but the Devs did some incredibly chessy crap in the game.

Tried it with my M2 SSD too and it didn't really helped.

I don't mind a lag every now and then or a bug, but a hyped game like this on a machine slightly above middle class still lagging despite being set on "low" is sad.

It's an awesome game so far, but a slideshow during bossfights or some small segments is terrible.
