Perform a heavy attack after 3 - 4 light attacks, as long as you have a focus point. The heavy attack also has to land at the exact moment an enemy’s attack hits

so it is kinda hard to land as it is risky? if you fail you take damage no?

Only takes 1 light attack as long as you have a focus point available. Discovered this after watching someone do it in a video

Well this game will be a filler until the new dark souls or elder ring shows up.

but since the heavy attack is so slow how can you time it right at the moment an incoming attack??

Of course, but i feel like spamming light attacks before using heavy actually helps with the timing while also continuously deals damage

Well that’s where you have to practice. Once you land it, staff will glow red and you take zero damage. Skyfall strike afterwards also staggers many bosses but it doesn’t grant the immunity

You just have to have a focus point and then press heavy attack after a light attack. You cannot use it at the end of the light attack combo, so time it for one or two light attacks, and to get a see through invulnerability you need to do it right before an enemy hits you.

The key is to do the heavy attack as they're about to hit you. The speed of the heavy attack doesn't matter.

thank you thank you!

There's some conflicting information in this thread. Are the iframes in resolute strike when you first press the button, or when the attack connects with the boss? I was under the impression it was the former.

You get the iframes when you do it during a attack. Think of it like parrying in dark souls.

The iframe is the entire resolute strike, but it has to be resolute strike and not a normal varied combo. The staff has to flash red. The follow up to resolute strike however doesn't have any iframe, so in some case it's best not to do a follow up.

Disagree personally because the followup to a resolute strike is always a stagger/knockdown which I find far more valuable than the small amount of damage you might take.

Isn't "Resolute Counterflow" a "Resolute Strike" during an enemy attack? That is, if you press a heavy attack after a light one, you will get a "Resolute Strike", and if you do this during an enemy attack, the staff will turn red and the enemy's strike will be blocked. Also, for "Skyfall Strike", you do not need to have time to do a "Resolute Strike" during an enemy attack. Or am I wrong? There are no such explanations in the description of the skill, but from what is written here, I understood that "Resolute Strike" should be done in any case during an enemy attack. I may have translated it incorrectly.
