What do you guys think about this section? Theres so many lefts and rights aswell many enemies on every corner, I can't imagine anything worse than this

The Pagoda Realm teaches you to not kill every single enemy, but to just run past. If you have a lot of issues, use invisibility.

it seems like being annoying is the theme for chapter 3... i havnt beaten all the boss yet, but so far the 2 boss i fought so far is very annoying... the dragon tend to hover just out of reach and the metal thingy not only a bullet sponge, but also will cut your HP by half.... not difficult, but annoying... really annoying.

and the pagoda area have a really annoying debuff that happen every now and then... it also sound annoying.

The Pagoda realm definitely had a difficulty spike. First time you start to experience fall-deaths, and some of the regular enemies really begin to become more like mini-bosses in terms of complexity of moves and how challenging they are overall.

I experienced a huge spike. I had way more consecutive deaths and it felt way more rewarding to reach the next Shrine. Cloud Form is absolutely an option in those cases where you need to walk on narrow ledges and the archers are being uppity.

Those awful death traps and nearly unkillable enemies in souls games really train me for this section. It is also a relief to know you can stop the incessant health debuff.

I was more annoyed by randomly getting the debuff in this area than by being debuffed. I could not figure out what was triggering it. Another annoying thing was that I learned very quickly there was no reason to rush forward when you had diminishing health, I killed those big guys--who are only visible during the debuff--and then waited for it to expire.

Early green rarity chest with unique effect that gradually restore your HP when you are below half health is great help. Another help was knowing that absorbing those green wisps restores your gourd uses--if you were progressing and pacing your gourd use correctly, you could keep yourself topped up most of the time by utilizing these wisps.

That debuff also affects most enemies.

The boss at the top of the spire triggers the debuff and also spawns the lamps.

Oh yeah I completely forgot about the debuff, it was so frequent that I tended to ignore it completely lol

100% a skill issue

Its actually pretty straight forward. The captain you're having issues with is optional. You can go back and deal with him and then backtrack through the pagoda's newly unlocked cells later.

Any tips on that boss btw? The purple balls and beams are so unfair :steamsad:

I came back and killed him after climbing up to the top, killing all the curse invoking lanterns and the boss. Not losing 50% mid fight made it much easier. He is required if you want to unlock the seal on the cells in the Pagoda.

Wait a second, you can kill the lantern guys? I tried and they were like invincible or something.

It's supposed to simulate Buddhist hell. I did it without rushing to the top and killing the guy there, and it was worth it for atmosphere alone. I even killed lotus speaker with the health reduction. The constant threat of having the padoga activate added a lot of tension.

All I know is I get one of the Captains that was in this room that look like there were worshipers on the ground. I killed him to unlock the doors. Then at the top I killed that thing at the top and he made the lantern guys disappear.
