The camera in Wukong is consistently the worst I've experienced in the genre.
I'm used to typical issues like the camera freaking out when you're sandwiched between an enemy and a wall behind you, for example, but Wukong's is just so bad at tracking the enemy's movement (which is often frenetic and sweeping).
So often I will dodge through an enemy's strike, which whips the camera away from them to where I can just barely see their follow-up in my periphery (if it's not obscured entirely).
Dodging backwards tends to alleviate this issue, but it shouldn't be an issue to begin with.
I had a truer experience with Malenia in Elder ring. During the last phase there was one move where she jumped in the air and completely randomized the dodge direction because of how the camera switched and I don’t think there should be challenges that is that dependent on camera angle.
I play with keyboard and mouse so it’s possible I can look around easier but my only gripe would be removing auto locking in all forms if that settings is disable. I still lock on multiple times a battle and need to frantically unlock in some cases.
auto tracking camera is a big letdown for controller user

Playing this on keyboard/mouse is literally the easiest thing ever.
Everything is in the right spot.
The camera is no more or less aggravating than Elden ring.
Basically anytime you're near a wall in the game it's a 50/50 on if you're going to have problems with the camera.
I don't think it's worth quitting over, but it's definitely one of the most frustrating points of the game.
I don't know if your comment is in response to me, but in console games like Dark Souls, Elden Ring, God of War, the camea auto-rotates (like when near a wall) and auto-focuses in combat, in addition to being controlled. Lots of PC ports, like God of War's, have an option to disable the auto-focusing part of the camera behaviour, while sometimes (though uncommon, typically only in very-terrible ports), like in Dark Souls and Elden Ring's ports, there isn't an option to disable it. And any auto behaviour of a camera when playing with keyboard and mouse is bothersome interference which leaves the player having to fight the controls.
The combat camera in this game is a disaster, it's ok as long as you are fighting a boss that is similar size to you, however when fighting some huge size boss or the boss moving too fast or too high camera won't follow or change FOV, hence you have no idea what the heck is boss doing because you can't even see them.
When fighting Wukong's shell in the last chapter camera will even lose track sometimes.
On the other hand, when using some transformation characters the FOV will become bigger, which is why I noticed I could easily avoid the same attack when I'm in one of those characters.
