It's not that difficult if you use all your spells and transformation.
You could avoid many attacks just by staying behind him.
And if you use the wind tamer in his second phase, he will be staggered for a while and his move will be similar to first phase.
Rock transformation might also be very useful since it's tanky as fxxk.
I'm at lvl 40 when fighting him, took me 2 tries with wind tamer.
Just get use to dodging at proper times and then also use the ability that lets you calling 5 copies of yourself that can attack him and also the move that freezes enemies to. Good luck!
He's not as hard as some ER bosses like Malenia or radahn, but roughly around margit, Rellana or Messmer.
He's harder than all base game ds3 bosses and easier than all ds3 dlc bosses
go find the 6 buddah heads in the perilous lands. Go back to where you fought the stone vangaurd. There will be a new stone there. Click it and deliver the eyes from the buddah heads. Kill the boss and you will obtain the ability to craft a new weapon. Combine this weapon with the wandering wight spirit to give you 50 defense ontop of your armor's inherent defense. This will give you enough to survive pretty much anything in chapter 2 with relative ease.
