Also what’s your level currently? I fought the tiger vanguard at level 32. The increase your health bar moderately perk isn’t worth it because even if you invest all 5 spark points (I think), it only increases your health bar by like 20% (that’s what it looked after as after 2 points I barely saw my health bar change).
Also look at upgrading armour and have some potions ready like damage reduction and stamina boost.
the key is do not spam dodge when fighting him as that will always make you dodge early and his attack is homing, so you'll always get hit if you dodge early.
not to mention, he can cancel into stone mode without warning even when immobilized, if you hit him during stone mode, he'll get some kind of buff.
i beat him with a very simple cheese, i just stay away to bait out his "pound" attack, once he pounded, dodge and punish, once he recover, backflip away and repeat.. super easy, barely an inconvenient.. but to some people this is very unfun way to beat him as you just spend majority of the time just waiting.
There are several different path you can take that all eventually lead to the same location in the end. Tiger Vangard is just only one of the path you can take.
The first path branch off is where you fight the Rat King and prince duo. Instead of going left of the gate there is a bridge to the right.
I'm saying the other path you can take is located at where you first meet them. There is a giant gate there. Face towards the large gate and look to your right, there is a bridge which opens up an entirely different area.
Judging from the enemies you just listed you definitely haven't tried that path yet.
unfortunately, for that kind of attack, you just have to learn the timing the hard way... he does have a tell before doing that range slash attack, but i forgot what.
