Chapter 2 Cutscene/Mini movie Claymation

Holly cow, flipping amazing that cutscene/claymation after Chapter 2 ends. I had no idea elements of this would be so heart felt. That whole cutscene that looked almost claymation was so well done, awesome little story elements to.

Without spoiling anything that it is about, just super well done. I thought this game would be mainly just boss fights in cool environments, but that Chapter 2 ending cutscene/claymation style was awesome, well done devs!

Anyone else see that yet and enjoy it? Surprised the heck out of me!

Bump of my own thread because I just want to know if anyone else enjoyed that cutscene at the end of Chapter 2 as much as I did :)

I was caught off guard and was really impressed by it. Much better than Ch 1's final cutscene IMO. Definitely a standout in the game.

Same, I wasn't expecting an emotional scene like that. And then.. well you know. That turned into something else. Very memorable for good and for bad reasons. lol I hope there's more like that, it grabbed my attention hard unlike Ch 1's last cutscene.

Did you start Chapter 3 yet? I did, killed like two bosses, but have been noticing some performance issues I hadn't seen before and not sure if that's the game or just me.

Yup, I played maybe 45 minutes of Chapter 3, not alot though,going to play some more now before bed, see if I run into any issues to, so far its been pretty smooth sailing for me for how good the game looks. Hope the performance straightens out for ya.

Yeah I hear you bro, just went through that, it was just amazing, remind me of those eternal classic animations made in 1950-80s era, that gave me so much fun in my childhood.

If you want something like this, watch Strange Tales in the Chinese Studio (human relationship with youkai, fox and ghosts and stuff).

Yes, did not know the English translation of this title (中国奇谭）. But honestly, some episodes of this series are really good, while others still have spaces of improvement.

Ah, you were mentioning episode 2, the little wolf girl. Yes, that along with the little mountain pig were the best 2 stories in 中国奇谭.

yeah, i love that scene, i wonder if it's a reference to the legend of nine tailed fox... romance between mortal and demon in chinese story rarely have good ending...

a very similar story that i love is Legend of White Snake.

You meant fox, fox spirit is dominantly female and many mated with human. Quite a number of people were claimed to have fox mother in East Asian culture, like Abe no Seimei.

But it seems that anime/cartoon you mention is also inspired by Zhiguai.
