Stuck in purple cloud mountain

Hi there, so after a little bit of help if possible?

I finally defeated duskveil in purple cloud mountain, that was some waffle and I was gifted an item then I skipped through the exposition and was dropped in a area, I touched the painting and was taken immediately back through to the start of purple cloud mountain.

I now have absolutely no idea where to go as I have already cleared this area.

There was nothing in the journal there's no map or anything so there's anyone have any idea of where I need to go next?

Doing just need to travel back to somewhere?
I went back to the area where I defeated the boss but there is nothing there.

Probably entirely my own fault skipping through the dialogue so apologies if it's something glaringly obvious and thanks and advance for any help.

Ok sorted, Just leaving this here in case anyone else encounters a similar issue.

Just portal back to the last shrine and from there travel to the last shrine in the area just before purple cloud mountain.

Continue up the mountain path and you'll eventually come to a new shrine and look to your right to find a boss battle to finish chapter 4

"forest of ferocity" is the name of the shrine you need to go to to continue up to "court of illumination" and the final boss of the chapter.
