Black loong worst boss in history of gaming?

2024, huge resources, a team of insane talent and ambition but wtf?

So. Im happily and deeply in love with this beautiful game i play on my break from a erdtree fists-only playthrough, yeah but this boss.. what a deal breaker.. And ive seen some bosses so no need for gitgud comments here. I think.. Im on stage 3 btw. Well so its like they didnt play this one themselves. Its specifically this one attack, the e-waves. I can often dodge all of it but not every time for some reason, like the buttons often dont button. Is there input randomness? Sometimes i stand on a rock and still get hit. Sometimes my monkey refuse to jump up and stay on a rock within the boss area. Sometimes the big guy smashed all the rocks already and theres no way to survive.

The idea must have been for players to use the rocks in this one but then why randomly do i get hit standing on top of the key gameplay element that is these rocks? Why randomly cant i jump up on the rocks? Why can he break all the rocks?

I feel at this stage in the game it would be balanced with maybe 3 dodgeable waves in this atk not certain death at the mercy of randomness.

Rant rant.. probably will be patched. Grr

The rocks are just a crutch. You can indeed dodge every single wave. Maybe you are dodging in an even rythm while the waves don't have an even rythm.

Press heavy attack at the top of your jump for a bit extra height. The rocks can only be jumped from the shorter potions.

If you press jump and don't tilt your stick, he'll jump according to the beat. The moment you move around, he will have a hard landing and take some time to jump again.

Being at a certain spot to use terrain to avoid attacks is normal for action games

This infuriated me until.... normal dodging them worked great. I was trying to jump and then had an ahhah moment. Worked like a charm.

Single jump the slow waves, you just jump, land then roll the quick ones, even triple waves.

You can try to jump and then jump forward on the part where the rhythm of the clang picks up.. or you could just jump on one of the rocks.
