I think its more this. I watched some people I trusted and the devs themselves said its not a souls like. I expected a Ninja Gaiden-ish Experience, hard but manageable. If they had marketed the game as a souls-like I would have had a different expectation.
Its whatever, but be real with us.
Yeah I reviewed it and my review got a lot of attention to my surprise and some of the responses (I allowed comments for once lol) were just insane as far as people denying it is a souls-like. I tried to warn in my review that as much as I love the game, this is most definitely a souls-like and the difficulty is going to come as a rude shock to a lot of people.
It seems I was right on the money with that one and its a shame as the game is fantastic, it just was presented as something I don't think it is primarily.
Edit: one chap tried to say it is more like Assassins Creed lmao... like, what the hell? People are just so clueless and it isn't very helpful
I have same feelings. They should told us that this game is not for casual players. It seems only Souls veterans have good fun with game. For other people this game is frustrating experience.
>Ignore everyone offering very valid advice.
>Complain more.
>Insult people replying.
>???
>Profit
Gonna have to try harder than that for my jesters.
As others have suggested, just Wemod it if you're really having that bad of a time. Nobody will care as you're only playing a single player game here anyway. Whatever makes you enjoy it bro
Time and patience is all you need. This game if more akin to a God of War style of action game. Learn the dodge timing and be aggressive.
The later story is what made me still playing. Really wish you could also countie playing to enjoy the later story. Here's some advices:
1. Try to kill other easier bosses first, come back to wandering wight before you ring the last bell (3 of them in total).
2. Killer the snake monster(Guang mou) in the forest first, he can assist you in the later fighting.
3. Use your heavy hit all the possible time, and by this way you make the wight not able to use his skill.
4. Online tutorials of how we kill bosses easier can help a lot.
Be it with teenagers beating professional women in soccer.
Be it with old men players beating young women players in tennis.
Be it with with women in the army only being able to barely pass with lowered standards.
Women don't want to compete against men in sport in general because it's unfair.
That has nothing to do with women being able to play in relatively difficult video games though (if they are interested in it).
Sorry but if you have problem with this boss you might just as well refund asap, because it's laughably easy compared to what you will encounter after. Heck, this is just a mini boss. You can even beat it by just spamming light attacks to knock him back and also freeze him with the spell. I am halfway through chapter 2 and it's really easy compared to similar games like Elden Ring. Most bosses I completed in 1-3 tries so far and I'm not even good at these kinds of games (summoned other players to beat most bosses in Elden Ring).
So adapt and overcome.
